Mango Vessel

Decayed mango wood was wood turned. I was trying to leave all rotten parts intact.The Vessel can be used as weed bud vase.

The piece was done from teak wood. I was trying to redefine flowing shape.

The piece was done from severe rotten and decayed mango wood. 

It took me long time to find a shape appealing to me. The piece required a lot of carving and shaping.

The piece was done from severe rotten and decayed mango wood stump. After extensive carving and solidifying wood and multiple worm holes with epoxy the piece got his final character. 

Attentive

The piece was done from severe rotten and decayed mango wood ball. After extensively removing decayed wood I found out very interesting  shape. It was reminding me two ears open to outside world collecting and utilizing  information. Below one can see final shape.

Mango decay vase

Another piece was done from rotten mango wood. It was initially wood turned and then intensively carved. It has vase shape with very interesting color variation. The piece has a stone base.

Dragon

The piece was done from the teak. I was trying to accentuate wood marking and grain to try to create image. 

Extensive carving and wood-burning was involve.
